Bliss Cruise To Sail On Newer Independence of the Seas

Coral Springs, FL February 23, 2017

Bliss Management, LLC today announced it's changing ship from Freedom of the Seas to the Independence of the Seas for its November 2018 charter.

"Originally we were going to be on Freedom of the Seas, but we learned Royal Caribbean is planning a 31-day dry dock of the Independence of the Seas," said Brian Depenbrock, President of Bliss Cruise, LLC. "We wanted our passengers to reap the benefits from a newer and updated ship experience while staying in the same class of ship."

According to Royal Caribbean International, the layout of its Freedom-class cruise ships (there are three in the fleet) are similar in design. Like Freedom of the Seas, the Independence of the Seas also has an interior Promenade deck, a highly sought feature requested by Bliss Cruise passengers.

According to Depenbrock, when cruise ships go into dry dock, they receive routine hotel maintenance (new beds, etc.) and cosmetic upgrades in public areas that include lighting, new carpet, tile work, wall coverings, and more.

"Royal Caribbean has been adding many other groundbreaking features throughout it's entire fleet too, so the enhancements are exciting," said Depenbrock.

The official sailing dates are now November 11 - 17, 2018, (just one week later from the previously announced Freedom sailing) according to Bliss Cruise. The cruise will still depart from Fort Lauderdale and sail to Montego Bay, Jamaica and Cozumel, Mexico.

According to Bliss Cruise, previously booked passengers will receive a notification via email on the changes from their travel agent.
